Durmitor in November

Great forecast in November – as if ordered for the last sunny days in Montenegro or Bosnia. The low winter sun is perfect for photography, everything gets contour, colors shine. Real life filter.

The surprise is that Durmitor is open. Two weeks before, there was snow, and that was basically it for the season. Well, let me boast, for this weekend I had Durmitor (almost) all to myself.

The first day from Kragujevac via Jabuka and Pljevlja through the northern part of the Durmitor ring to accommodation on the banks of Tara in the north of Durmitor. The northern part of the ring is beautiful but quite unclear, a very narrow road through the forests, partially with heavy machinery, campers, etc. First, second ...

Accommodation Grab right on the banks of Tara was also surprised by the reopening of the ring. I am the only guest. Still welcomed like a true one, with an excellent dinner and a hearty breakfast.

On the second day, I set off from the western – more well-known – part of the ring. I start from the north to the south (great decision) and I am almost alone on the entire route.

The second day from the accommodation through the southern part of the ring, through the Piva canyon and back to Kragujevac via Foča.

Having such nature at hand – without the usual visitors – is something exceptional. Even the usual crowd on the way back in front of Užice and the unusual crowd near Čačak could not ruin such a calm and composed weekend.

Tara in the fog. I begin the day with a literal visual spectacle. From dense fog to sunny Durmitor in less than half an hour. This is why I took the trip; such scenes were my first reason.

Having such nature at your fingertips – without the usual visitors – is something exceptional. Even the usual traffic jam on the way back in front of Užice and the unusual traffic jam near Čačak couldn't ruin such a calm and composed weekend for me.
