Kraljevo - Herceg Novi (843km)

The idea came up from a random call from a friend and a conversation not related to riding, but it turned into a plan to open the motorcycle season. The weather was promising, so we easily agreed on Herceg Novi, to which my wife reacted with enthusiasm.

Due to obligations, the departure was planned for 11 o'clock, but we left at 11:30. The well-known route via the Ibar highway is standardly good and fun. We reached the border very quickly, and the wait was short because there were two cars in front of us.

The journey continues on the standard route via Rožaje, and in Berane, we choose the road towards Bijelo Polje, which is completely covered with new asphalt, so the ride was fantastic. This route further via Mojkovac to Kolašin is 30 kilometers longer compared to Berane-Kolašin, but due to the new asphalt, it is much faster and certainly warmer as it does not cross the ski resort.

Further, we choose the highway to Podgorica, where at one point we encounter a drop in temperature to 8C, which is a significant drop from an average of 18 until that moment, but fortunately, it lasted about 10 minutes, so descending into Podgorica, we warm up again.
From Podgorica, we head towards Cetinje. The road is excellent, and before Cetinje, we take a newly made bypass that Google Maps for some reason does not show as an option. Fortunately, I use the DMD2 app for navigation on a Samsung tablet, and it turned out to be an excellent option.

Via Njeguši and fantastic serpentine roads with superb views of Kotor and the bay, we descend into Tivat, and then by ferry (2.5€) we shorten the route and arrive in Herceg Novi before dark.
We spend the evening walking around the center, taking pictures of the famous clock tower, and having dinner at one of the restaurants with a fantastic terrace called "Gradska kafana".

The next day, my friend had to return home immediately after breakfast due to obligations, and my wife and I took advantage of the beautiful day for a walk along a very nicely arranged path by the sea, which is about 5 kilometers long and leads all the way to Igalo. A few breaks for drinks, lunch, and dessert completed the day, and by around 8 PM we were in bed.

There was an idea to visit Dubrovnik and Trebinje on the way back. We were aware that the day was short and that it was not possible to visit all that properly and get home before a significant drop in darkness and temperature. We postponed the idea for a visit for some upcoming weekend.

In the morning, we had breakfast at an interesting restaurant "Papagaj" in the place Đenovići, right by the sea, and we returned home the same way.
